Problems in Evidence
Seventy-two new problems have been added in this new edition. A number of these new problems concern authentication of social media and electronic evidence and the authentication of DNA with interesting chain of custody problems. Additional problems have been added dealing with expert evidence, including validation of new types of expert and lay testimony regarding cell tower tracking. Three new problems in the area of attorney-client privilege examine the application Federal Rule of Evidence Rule 502. Many of the new problems draw their inspiration from recent appellate opinions dealing with cutting-edge evidence issues.

Differences
- A new co-author, Professor Liesa Richter of the University of Oklahoma College of Law, who wrote problems in a number of chapters but particularly in hearsay and privilege, has joined this new edition;
- A number of existing problems have been updated and modified to reflect changes in technology or in the law;
- Problems involving exclusion of liability insurance under Federal Rule 411 have been moved from Chapter 7 on the general approach to relevancy to Chapter 8 in the specific area of the intersection of relevancy and ancillary policy issues;
- Additional focus has been placed in new problems on issues involved in the introduction of social media and other types electronic evidence;
- Additional questions have been added in the area of scientific evidence; and
- Questions have been added further examining Federal Rule 502 and its impact on attorney-client privilege.
