Exam Pro on Wills, Trusts, and Estates
This new edition of Exam Pro contains eight sample tests that cover all of the material generally included in wills, trusts, and estates courses. One exam tests specifically on California law and the other seven cover Uniform Probate Code (UPC) and general common law principles. A detailed answer key explains why the correct answer is the best choice and why other choices are not. Mindful of the numerous variations in state probate law, the authors often provide information in the answer key about how different states might apply different principles to answer the questions. This addition results in a helpful guide to students who may not be focusing primarily on UPC law.

Notable changes in the Second Edition:
- Questions and answers have been updated to account for amendments to the Uniform Probate Code in 2008 and 2019
- One exam (exam #8) is designed to test specifically on California law. Many states are removing wills and trusts from their bar exams. California has (at least for now) elected to replace wills and trusts with “estate planning” as a tested topic. As a result, California law on wills and trusts remains important for California bar examinees. Many California law schools teach wills and trusts with an emphasis on California law.
- Answers include increased attention to the possibilities of different outcomes under varying state laws.
