There are two major changes for the second edition. First, the appropriate chapters are updated with the major cases and developments in the field. This includes, but is not limited to, developments with the Indian Child Welfare Act, diminishment and reservation boundaries (the McGirt case involving Oklahoma that gained a lot of national attention), and jurisdiction. Second, each chapter in Unit II has been supplemented with a tribal court case that speaks to the issue of the chapter. The purpose of these additional sections that I have labeled "tribal court perspectives" is to offer a new way of looking at the field through the eyes of Native America.
