The 2024 Supplement captures major family law developments since the publication of the main text. These include edited versions of recent headlining Supreme Court decisions like Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization (overturning Roe v. Wade, Planned Parenthood v. Casey, and the constitutional abortion right that they protect), Bostock v. Clayton County (on Title VII and how its sex discrimination provision covers anti-gay and anti-trans discrimination), and Fulton v. The 2024 Supplement additionally features updates on Haaland v. Brackeen (upholding the Indian Child Welfare Act without addressing whether it violates the Equal Protection Clause), and significant developments on the Hague Convention on child abduction at the Supreme Court, including Monasky v. Taglieri and Golan v. Saada, along with new notes, questions, and updates on cases and statutes, including on parenting, the family regulation system, custody of gender diverse children, and assisted reproduction.
